Last night's meeting was very productive. Well, more productive than usual. We opted not to include the cast, a good decision considering we had nothing for them to do. Rather, we talked website domains (we thought of the perfect URL, but I won't reveal it so it doesn't get stolen. Just trust me.) and episode 2. Brendan, Michael and I showed up a little beforehand to work on our pitches, but Michael ended up using the entire time for episode 2. It wasn't entirely his fault (but it mostly was. Bitch.). Brendan and I chimed in every few seconds with ideas for the episode and what we thought of the new South Park story arch.
But despite the usual lollygagging, Michael delivered a beautiful pitch for episode 2. Given everything he has planned out, the episode would clock in at around 400 minutes and be directed by some bizarre Peter Jackson/George Lucas hybrid baby who is an abomination to both mankind and filmmaking, but it's still a fantastic plot Michael orchestrated and I can't wait for him to write it.
It also made me realize that I need to step it up for episode 3. I know all the plot points I need to cover, and a general idea of the flashbacks, but I'm a little behind in regards to dialogue and act breaks and such. These are things I usually figure out while I'm writing, so I'm not terribly concerned, but episode 3 is going to kick so much ass (note: Microsoft Word's grammar filter wants me to change that to "so many asses"), because it deals with Jake, my favorite character.
So Brendan doesn't one-up me, our Apple Insomnia submission "Kenneth" is up and running. Response is excellent, I'm just afraid our promotional campaign dwarfs the other teams'. We'll definitely have to kick it up three or four notches before voting ends (hint: this means go rate it).
I have yet to look at any of the Found footage from Saturday. Sound is my biggest concern, but I won't know if it was a problem until I see it.
